Minimize Monkey is
a make-you-chuckle type project that I put together as an attempt to improve on
the "boss button" concept - to remove private windows from your computer screen before someone
else can see them.
This system uses an X10 MS13A/RMS18 wireless motion
sensor (B) and an X10 CM19A USB wireless receiver (C) to detect someone approaching your
office (or computer room at home). Upon detection, the Minimize
Monkey software (A) will
automatically
minimize, maximize, or close a preconfigured window (or windows) of your
choice.
That means private windows can be removed from your screen before a
nosy coworker looks into your cubicle. Or work-related windows
like email can be maximized to fill your screen before your boss
walks by. They'll think you never take a break!
